Last weekend I had the chance to get away with an ol' college roomie, Amy. She flew down from the Chicago area and we stayed in downtown Nashville for the weekend. We spent time eating and shopping and also did some touristy things I had never done before despite living in middle TN for more than 2 yrs now. We walked Broadway, saw the Parthenon, shopped 21st Ave around Vandy campus and even managed a few minutes to drive down Music Row.
Although we hate to admit it, I think one of the best parts of the trip was sleeping in a hotel bed with no monitor on the nightstand. Amy's kids are Violet (2 yrs) and Jack (6 months), so she'll probably agree with me on that.
