Fire Fighters to the Rescue!

We had a fun morning today! Our MOPS group went to the fire station for a tour & to learn about fire. The kids and mommies had a great time. The firemen did a very nice job talking with the kids, demonstrating their gear, and letting everyone sit in the 102 foot fire engine.
Mostly, I was impressed with our gracious the firemen were with their time. They took about 20 pictures of our group with everyone's cameras when our tour was completed. One even stood in the back and rocked an infant in her carseat so the mommy could enjoy the time with her older son. A true hero, wouldn't you agree?
Afterwards, we went to the park for a picnic. Today's weather is hot - a sign of the summer to come. We didn't last too long before heading home to rest.

On a different subject, I saw an old acquitance that I hadn't seen in a long time at the fire station. I knew they had been trying have a second child way back when we were MOPS together in 2007. Today she shared with me the news that their family is growing and a baby is due in early November. I'm so excited to witness how God answers prayer!
