Today is the second day that Rachel is taking the bus. She is willing to try it again and I'm so thankful. Since late September, David and I had to sit in the car pickup line for about 30 minutes every afternoon. That was getting OLD.
After Rachel got on the bus, I mopped the wood floors. Ah, clean house.
David really really really wanted to help. So, after I was finished, I rinsed the mop and squeeze-drained it well so it was barely damp. I told David he could mop the stairs and the tile in his upstairs bathroom.
I had forgotten that the tabletop to David's train table was lying on the floor in the middle of the hallway. I suppose in passing by it, David decided it needed to be mopped as well. I think about 3 minutes passed and I went upstairs to see how he was doing. David was mopping away on that train table, so proud of his effort. Suddenly I realized there was a lot of water on the table -- in fact a lot of water was dripping from the mop. David took it upon himself to rinse the mop after doing the stairs. I went to the kids' bathroom and sure enough, there was toilet water everywhere. He was mopping with toilet water!
I called Greg to tell him the story and his response was, "You were supposed to be supervising him." My thought is, "I'd like to see how long a man could be a Mom."
