David has been sneezing for about a year now. At first, Claritin seemed to help. He lived on it all last summer. All winter, I noticed he'd still sneeze. In fact, he sneezes every morning when he crawls into our bed to get morning snuggles. So, we went back on Claritin. After 2 months, I gave up on the stuff since it didn't seem to make any improvements.No runny nose, no watery eyes, just 4 solid, loud sneezes multiple times a day. So, today was the day David went to the allergist. I'm happy to say he has no outdoor allergies - he can roll in the grass and hug trees every season of the year. What he can't do is live comfortably with a dog or cat. We've had Deuce since Rachel was 9 months old. Deuce = #2 = our second baby.
We don't want David to be dependent on drugs to live in his own home, so we have some decisions to make and may very well be loosing our canine companion in the near future.
