Lake-lovin' family

We had a great Saturday on Center Hill Lake. The weather was 85 and sunny - blue sky all day. We woke early & got on the road right away and came home just before sunset.

As much as the kids wanted to swim, the water was only 66 degrees. Rachel couldn't do it. David, after brief thought, eagerly took Daddy up on the offer to swim to shore to explore & throw rocks. (It must be a boy thing.)

We set up the table for lunch in the boat and toured a good portion of the lake. Reminds us a lot of Lake Ouchita in Arkansas - rolling tree-filled hills bursting out of the rocky shoreline. Numerous coves with calm water. Ahh...I hope I get waterskiis for Mother's Day.

At the end of the day, I got my first opportunity to back the trailer down the boat launch ramp. Greg was impressed and I was very proud of myself. (aka, I didn't sink the Tahoe. Very important.) We all crashed in bed Saturday night and then spent a good portion of Sunday giving the boat its first "Waller cleaning."

We're a little sad that we won't be able to be back on the lake for 3 weeks. Need to block off more summer weekends for boating before the calendar gets too full. I am so thankful that we have this family toy now. We are really enjoying it and I'm anxious to create more memories on the water.
